What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.
Body styles covered: 4-Door Sedan, 4-Door Wagon (Sport Wagon, 2011-2014)
These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.
| Location | trunk |
|---|---|
| Outer bounding box | No independently measured trunk dimensions found. Vehicle-specific enclosure catalogues; published box footprints are lower bounds on the cavity, not the cavity: SRQ Customs 'Acura TSX 2009-UP Vehicle Specific Subwoofer Enclosure': 44 x 18 x 12 in (as printed; axes not labelled), 1.4 cu ft, 8.75" mounting depth, under the rear deck against the rear seat back; spare accessible; years "2009-UP" (open-ended). |
| Known obstructions | SRQ Customs: dual 12" is not offered because of the available airspace ("it would sound terrible"). No obstruction measurements published. |
| Location | cargo area behind the second row |
|---|---|
| Outer bounding box | No dimensions found for the wagon. |
| Known obstructions | None documented. |
Sizes and depths below are what research turned up for this generation. Confirm against your own vehicle before cutting or ordering — trim levels vary.
| Factory speaker size | Acura, 2009 TSX press kit. Standard 7-speaker 360-watt system: "two 6.3-inch drivers are positioned in the front doors". Technology Package Acura/ELS Surround (10 speakers, 415 watts): "Each of the doors has 6.7-inch full-range dual thickness polypropylene-cone speakers". Sizes as the maker states them, not measured; later kits repeat the 6.3-inch drivers. |
|---|---|
| Adapter bracket needed | unconfirmed |
| Factory speaker size | Acura names no rear-door speaker for the standard 7-speaker system (its rear pair sits on the rear deck). For the Acura/ELS system the 2009 kit says "Each of the doors has 6.7-inch full-range dual thickness polypropylene-cone speakers" without singling out the front doors; no rear-door size, depth or position is stated separately |
|---|---|
| Adapter bracket needed | unconfirmed |
| Factory amp / premium audio | Acura, 2009 TSX press kit: standard 360-watt system with 7 speakers and an 8-inch rear-deck subwoofer; Technology Package adds the Acura/ELS Surround 10-speaker system, 415 watts, DVD-Audio, with an 8-inch subwoofer in the rear parcel shelf. 2012 kit: the Acura/ELS system is "415 watts of power (460 watts with the Sport Wagon)"; the 360-watt, 7-speaker standard system is repeated. |
|---|---|
| Adding subs without a head-unit swap | the standard system has a factory 8-inch subwoofer on the rear deck; no Acura-published line-output or amplifier-integration information found |
Acura's trunk volume for the sedan is 12.6 cu ft (2009 press kit table "Trunk volume, EPA, cu. ft. (w/Navi)"; the 2012 kit says "12.6 cubic feet"). EPA's own record is 13 (2008-2011) and 14 (2013-2014). Those are luggage ratings, not box dimensions. The one vehicle-specific box (SRQ Customs, 44 x 18 x 12 in, axes unlabelled, 1.4 cu ft, 8.75" deep, single 10", single 12" or dual 10") sits under the rear deck against the back of the rear seat and leaves the spare tire accessible. No measured trunk width, height or depth was found. Measure your own trunk before cutting wood.
Acura's 2012 kit: "With the second row seat in use, there is 31.5 cu-ft of cargo space available" for the Sport Wagon; the same page prints both 60.5 and 66.2 cu ft for the folded total. No vehicle-specific box states that it fits the wagon.

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
