Outer bounding box	Owners hold downfiring under-seat boxes to about 6.5" tall so the seat does not lift. Kicker's vehicle-specific 51KFDL7T102 for this cab is taller, 55-1/8"W x 8-1/4"H x 13-3/8"D, and Kicker does not say whether it is stepped or whether a B&O subwoofer has to come out, so 6.5" stays the safe height. Goose Gear's 28"W x 18"D x 22"H figure describes storage above its seat-delete platform, not the space under the seat.
Known obstructions	On B&O-equipped trucks the factory subwoofer sits here: Goose Gear sells its seat-delete with a "Factory B&O Subwoofer Center Wall with Exterior Port", and Bang & Olufsen says the subwoofer vents to the outside air. A custom box on those trucks has to work around it or replace it.

Factory audio integration

Factory amp / premium audio	Premium audio in this generation is Bang & Olufsen in two tiers, which B&O calls its "first ever two-tier B&O premium sound offering": an 8-speaker B&O Sound System at 640 watts, including the Externally Coupled Subwoofer, and the 18-speaker B&O Unleashed system at 1080 watts, with speakers in the headliner and in each front headrest. B&O says Unleashed is available starting on the Lariat. Base systems have 6 or 7 speakers: Ford lists its Kicker kit for trucks built with "a 6 or 7 speaker system". The head unit changed during the generation. Ford's 2021 sheet lists SYNC 4 with an 8-inch center touchscreen as standard and a 12-inch screen as optional; for 2024 Ford made SYNC 4 with a "12-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen" standard, and its 2024 page lists the B&O Unleashed system with "14 speakers including subwoofer" (under King Ranch) and an 8-speaker B&O system (under Lariat). That is why add-on kits split at 2024: Ford's own Kicker kit is "NOT compatible with 23MY+ Raptor or 24MY+ F-150", and Alpine's B&O kit excludes the 14- and 18-speaker Unleashed systems.
Adding subs without a head-unit swap	Yes on most trucks, but the product depends on the system and the year. Base 6- or 7-speaker trucks, 2021-2023: Ford's own VML3Z18808A kit with Kicker (satellite radio required, dealer programming through OBD) or SGS's base package, which "doesn't require signal stealing from the factory amp". 8-speaker B&O trucks: Alpine's PSS-23FORD-F150BO, SGS's "B&O SuperCrew" package, or Metra's FD-PPKT-2 with its amp board and extra DSP-harness steps for 2021-2024. Ford VML3Z18808A, the Ford and Kicker amp-and-subwoofer kit for 2021-2023 F-150 SuperCab and SuperCrew with satellite radio (build code ICEHE) and a 6 or 7 speaker system. Ford lists it as not compatible with 23MY+ Raptor or 24MY+ F-150.

An under-seat box in this generation shares the floor with what Ford put there. Ford sells a SuperCrew 2021-2027 floor liner made for trucks with a "LUX Storage Box" (Ford's page does not say where that box sits); an earlier search excerpt of a Ford how-to video described a fold-flat compartment under the rear seats, but that page could not be read on 2026-10-15, so it is unconfirmed. On B&O trucks the factory subwoofer is the Externally Coupled Subwoofer, which "mounts directly to the sheet metal and vents to the outside air" (Bang & Olufsen); one owner places it in a center opening behind the rear seats. Owners building downfiring under-seat boxes keep them to about 6.5" tall so the seat does not lift. SGS sells separate packages for base and B&O SuperCrew trucks, and SubThump builds custom enclosures for this cab. Pickup boxes, for reference only: Ford's 2021 sheet lists 5.5-ft, 6.5-ft and 8.0-ft Styleside boxes, 67.1, 78.9 and 97.6 in long at the floor, with 52.8, 62.3 and 77.4 cu. ft. of cargo box volume (not labelled SAE or EPA). Ford's own 2021-2023 amp-and-subwoofer kit with Kicker (VML3Z18808A) is listed for SuperCab and SuperCrew trucks built with "a 6 or 7 speaker system (build codes IDBAL or IDBAD)", and Ford says it is not compatible with 2024 F-150s. For a 2024 SuperCab the listings that reach that year are NET Audio's two 2015-up boxes, Skar Audio's 2015-2026 dual 10, Ground Shaker's Ext-Cab boxes (15-24), Super Crew Sound's 2015-2024 dual box and JL Audio's SPRCB Stealthbox (2015-and-newer, per a retailer); Super Crew Sound's single box says 2009-2026 in its title but 2009-2023 in its description.
