Generation-specific named commercial product: Skar Audio's custom-fit, sealed 12" enclosure (1,600W max, pre-loaded SVR-12 D2 sub, hand-laid fiberglass) is explicitly marketed and molded to provide bass 'without relinquishing any additional space inside of your vehicle's trunk' — the real 'phantom fit' zero-cargo-loss product mentioned on the preceding 9th Gen page. This is a SEPARATE product from both the 9th Gen's (2013-2017) and 11th Gen's (2023-2025) own Accord enclosures, confirming the market treats this generation as its own distinct trunk shape.
Accord Hybrid (this generation): confirmed via forum/manufacturer sourcing that the HV battery sits under the rear seat, NOT in the trunk — trunk space and the 60/40 split-folding rear seatback are preserved, matching non-hybrid trims. A specifically-flagged piece of misinformation was found and should NOT be repeated: some owners report being incorrectly told by Honda sales/parts staff that a spare tire can't be added because the battery occupies the spare-tire well — this is false for this generation's actual battery placement (under the rear seat, not the spare-tire well).
