What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.
Body styles covered: 4-Door Crossover
These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.
| Location | cargo area behind the rear seat |
|---|---|
| Outer bounding box | Maker-published, not a measured usable cavity: Honda's release for the 2011 CR-V gives "approximate floor dimensions of 51 inches long by 39 inches wide (at wheel wells)" for its maximum-cargo mode, with the second row folded and tumbled forward; Honda's 2007 interior release: "Maximum cargo length equals about 51 inches." No seats-up floor length, height or opening is published in the pages read; the dual-deck shelf leaves 13 in vertical space under it. |
| Known obstructions | Wheel wells set the 39 in width (Honda). Rear seats slide and fold-and-tumble to a flat floor (Honda 2007: "the fold and tumble seat design allows for a flat cargo floor"). EX-L with navigation carries the factory subwoofer under the front passenger seat (Honda 2007), not in the cargo area. |
Sizes and depths below are what research turned up for this generation. Confirm against your own vehicle before cutting or ordering — trim levels vary.

| Factory amp / premium audio | Honda, by trim and year (no brand name printed). 2007 interior release: "For 2007, all audio systems are more powerful with at least 160 watts."; LX "160-watt power output and four speakers"; EX and EX-L "160-Watt power output, six speakers (including two dashboard tweeters)"; EX-L with Navigation "270-Watt power output, 7-speakers including two dash mounted tweeters and subwoofer". 2008 release: LX four speakers, 160 W; EX adds tweeters and a 6-disc changer, 160 W; "The CR-V EX-L equipped audio system increases power output to 270 watts" with "seven speakers, including a subwoofer" - on every EX-L from 2008, not only with navigation. 2011 release: LX "four speakers"; new SE "a 160-watt AM/FM/6-disc changer with six speakers"; EX-L "a premium audio system with 7-speakers including subwoofer". 2009 and 2010 pages not read. |

| Adding subs without a head-unit swap | the 7-speaker EX-L carries a factory subwoofer (tap its feed or replace it); no Honda integration information read. |
Honda 2007 specification row "Cargo Volume (cu. ft., seat up/down)": 35.7 / 72.9 on LX, EX, EX-L (release dated 2006-08-24). Honda 2007 interior release: "The standard cargo volume behind the second row (seats upright) measures 35.7 cubic feet." and "Maximum cargo length equals about 51 inches." and, of the cargo shelf, "The shelf provides 13 inches (330 mm) of vertical space underneath." Honda 2011 release (2010-10-15), in its maximum-cargo sentence (second row folded and tumbled forward): "Maximum possible cargo volume measures 72.9 cu-ft. with approximate floor dimensions of 51 inches long by 39 inches wide (at wheel wells)." So the 51 in length belongs to the seats-down floor; the 39 in is measured at the wheel wells, which do not move with the seats, but Honda does not give a seats-up floor length. The same 2011 release gives "35.7 cu-ft. behind the rear seats" in its text and "Cargo Volume: 34.7 cu-ft." in its Basic Specs list, with no trim given for either. No SAE or EPA label printed. Luggage rating and floor dimensions, not a box. Cargo height and tailgate opening not found. No box made for a 2007-2011 CR-V was found from the box makers checked.

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
