2012-2016 Honda CR-V 4th Gen — subwoofer box fitment

What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.

Standard Solid

Honda spec rows "Cargo Volume (cu ft, rear seat up/down)": 2012 LX, EX, EX-L 37.2 / 70.9; 2015 LX, EX, EX-L, Touring 35.2 / 70.9. Honda's 2015 interior release says "35.3 cubic ft. of cargo space behind the rear seats" and 70.9 down, and its own interior table prints 35.2/TBD. No SAE or EPA label is printed. Luggage ratings, not box dimensions. No box made for a 2012-2016 CR-V was found from the box makers checked. Measure your own cargo area before cutting wood.

Before you cut anything

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
