REAL GENERATION-BOUNDARY TRAP, same category as the HD-truck and Ram findings on other vehicles covered here: 2013 trunk dimensions DIFFER from 2012 — a bump in the interior insert near the rear seats changes the available height. Space is genuinely tight at the top, and enclosures need an ANGLED top surface to fit properly post-2013 — a box designed for a 2012 will not necessarily fit a 2013+ without modification. Real spec (2010-2012): 9.125"/11.125" cutouts (10"/12"), 10" mounting depth, 1.00 ft3/chamber sealed, 0.75" MDF. A cheap alternative exists: two Scosche 12" enclosures side-by-side, $25 each — but real caveat found, these (and similarly Kicker prefab boxes) produce high SPL without much genuine low-frequency extension, a real quality-vs-cost tradeoff worth surfacing rather than treating all cheap boxes as equivalent.
