2015-2019 Hyundai Sonata LF — subwoofer box fitment

What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.

These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.

Factory audio integration

Factory amp / premium audioHyundai's April 16, 2014 release (2015 model year): "All 2015 Sonatas come standard with iPod/USB and auxiliary input jacks"; "Available upgrades" include "HD radio, Dimension or 400-watt Infinity premium audio systems" (trim and package not stated). The release gives no speaker count, no wattage for the Dimension system and no subwoofer. The June 14, 2017 release for the 2018 Sonata says only "All 2018 Sonatas are equipped with a standard seven-inch color display audio touchscreen". Speaker sizes and positions are not stated.

Hyundai's April 16, 2014 release (2015 model year), table row "Cargo Volume (cu. ft.)" 16.3 and "Total Interior Vol (cu. ft.)" 122.4; the release prose says "106.1 cu. ft. of passenger volume". EPA's luggage figure is 16 for 2014 and 2015. Hyundai's figure is stored. A luggage rating, not a box dimension. No trunk width, length, height or opening appears. Later years (2016-2019) were not read from a Hyundai document. No box made for a 2015-2019 Sonata was found from the box makers checked. Zenclosures titles a Sonata box 2011-2015, but its own product overview says 2011-2014. Measure your own trunk before cutting wood.

Before you cut anything

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
