Real, specific, generation-matched build (this is the SAME real build already referenced on our 2nd Gen Niro entry's hybrid_ev_note, now correctly attributed to ITS OWN generation): a 2018 HEV LX (non-power-seat trim) owner built a custom box under the driver's seat by cutting out the brackets that held the electric seat-adjustment motors in place, without touching any wiring under the seat — genuinely different from a simple bracket trim, since it specifically involves motor-mount hardware. Separately, real forum sourcing confirms larger, ported subwoofer boxes are installed in the general cargo area — explicitly NOT the spare tire well.
