2010-2013 Kia Soul 1st Gen (AM) — subwoofer box fitment

What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.

Body styles covered: 4-Door Subcompact Wagon/Hatchback

Where a box actually fits

These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.

Factory audio integration

Factory amp / premium audioKia's 2012 and 2013 features tables (Base, + and ! trims): an AM/FM/CD/MP3/SiriusXM radio on all three; tweeter speakers optional on the Base, standard on the + and !; the "Audio Upgrade Package: Infinity audio with center speaker, subwoofer, external amplifier, speaker lights" not offered on the Base, optional on the +, standard on the !; UVO with HD Radio the same way. Kia's June 2012 release (PR Newswire copy) calls it a '350 watt seven-speaker Infinity sound system', optional on the Soul+ and standard on the Soul!. 2010 and 2011 (Kia's launch release and 2011 overview): tweeter speakers standard on the Soul+, and no Infinity system on the pages read. Base-trim speaker count, speaker sizes and the subwoofer's size and location were not found.

Mounting locations

Standard Likely

Kia's figures for 2012 and 2013, the same on the Base, + and ! trims: "Cargo volume (rear seat up) 19.3 cu. ft." and "Cargo volume (rear seat down) 53.4 cu. ft.", with no SAE or EPA label. For 2010 and 2011 Kia's specification pages are empty and its launch release and 2011 overview give only the 102.3 cu ft passenger volume, so no Kia cargo figure covers those years. EPA classes the Soul as a small station wagon and prints 24 cu ft of luggage volume (2010, 2012, 2013) with 102 cu ft of passenger volume; for a wagon that luggage figure is a box index, not a seats-up cargo volume. Luggage ratings, not box dimensions.

Before you cut anything

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
