2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder 4th Gen (R52) — subwoofer box fitment

What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.

Where a box actually fits

These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.

Standard Solid

Locationunderfloor storage box behind the 3rd row (shared geometry with Infiniti QX60 2014-2019)
Outer bounding boxno full dimensioned spec found; only the OEM divider part number and its two-vehicle compatibility were confirmed
Known obstructionsFactory Bose subwoofer occupies part of this space on equipped trims; HEV models have a different floor entirely (battery pack) and this compartment does not apply

Factory audio integration

Factory amp / premium audioBose/Premium audio confirmed offered, with the factory subwoofer mounted in the underfloor storage box — real, but exact speaker count/wattage for this specific generation not independently confirmed (the 13-speaker figure found in research applies to Bose's own current Pathfinder marketing page, likely the newer R53, not confirmed retroactive to R52).
Adding subs without a head-unit swapConfirmed common practice via LOC tap, same pattern as the R51 generation
Head unitNo replacement needed

Mounting locations

Standard Solid

Real, confirmed cross-badge platform-sharing case: OEM underfloor cargo storage dividers (Nissan part # 999C2-RZ100) are sold as compatible with BOTH the 2013-2020 Pathfinder AND the 2014-2019 Infiniti QX60 — direct evidence of the shared unibody 'Nissan D platform' underneath both badges (QX60 is already a separate entry; this confirms the two share real underfloor cargo geometry, worth a cross-reference). On Bose/Premium-audio trims, the factory subwoofer is mounted directly in this same underfloor storage box, not a separate location — meaning an aftermarket build in this bay is working around/replacing factory hardware, not just claiming empty space. Real, important trim gate: the underfloor storage dividers (and by extension the standard cargo-floor layout) do NOT fit HEV (hybrid) models — the 2014-2016 Pathfinder Hybrid's battery pack changes this floor area, matching our standing hybrid-caution pattern (verify battery footprint before assuming this build carries over to a Hybrid trim).

Before you cut anything

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
