2008-2013 Nissan Rogue 1st Gen — subwoofer box fitment

What we researched for this specific generation: where an enclosure actually fits, what the factory speakers are, how the factory audio is wired, and which real builds and commercial products exist for it. Confidence badges say how well each figure is sourced — this is research, not manufacturer spec.

Where a box actually fits

These are researched envelopes, not a guarantee. Measure your own vehicle — the numbers here tell you what to expect, not what you have.

Standard Unconfirmed

Locationcargo area
Outer bounding boxNo independently measured cargo dimensions found. Vehicle-specific enclosure catalogues; published box footprints are lower bounds on the cavity, not the cavity: SRQ Customs 'Nissan Rogue 2008-2013 Subwoofer Enclosure': 36 x 18 x 12 in (as printed; axes not labelled), 0.55 cu ft, 4" mounting depth, under-floor (replaces the plastic cargo tray, fires downward into the spare-tire well).
Known obstructionsThe SRQ box page says it replaces the plastic cargo tray under the rear floor and sits above the spare-tire well, with the factory floor covering going back over it. No other obstruction documented.

Nissan's 2013 kit: 28.9 cu ft of cargo with the second-row seat upright, 57.9 folded (unlabelled US cubic feet, all trims). The 2010 kit prints only "58 cubic feet of cargo space", without saying whether the seats are up or folded (the 2013 kit's folded figure is 57.9), and the 2008 kit only a length ("more than 8.5 feet of front-to-rear cargo space" with the front passenger seat folded). Those are luggage ratings and a length, not box dimensions. The one vehicle-specific box found (SRQ Customs) is not a cargo-area box: it replaces the plastic tray under the rear floor and fires down into the spare-tire well, 36 x 18 x 12 in (axes unlabelled), 0.55 ft3, 4" deep, for shallow 10" subs. No measured cargo width, height or depth was found. Nissan kept selling this first-generation body for 2014 and 2015 as the Rogue Select; no Rogue Select cargo or audio figure was found, and the one box is listed for 2008-2013. Measure your own cargo area before cutting wood.

Before you cut anything

Measure your own vehicle. Trim levels, factory subwoofer options, and mid-generation changes all move these numbers, and a box cut to a researched figure that does not match your truck is wasted wood. Where a badge reads Unconfirmed, treat the value as a starting point for your own measurement, not as an answer.
