Massive real audio-build community — Tacoma has its own dedicated aftermarket company (TacoTunes) beyond the general truck-audio brands. Install process is consistent across sources: remove plastic backing on rear of upper seat, remove the driver-side storage compartment on the rear wall, connect to the factory terminal cup, bolt down the box. REAL CAVEAT, worth surfacing prominently: due to minimal space behind the seat, the driver-side rear seat CANNOT be folded down after install without risking damage to the subwoofer — a real usability tradeoff. Also real: the Alpine Type R 10" will NOT fit due to magnet size — driver selection matters here more than on most trucks.
